A shrinking number of Web sites offer free Internet access.
Often the inconveniences make using a free Internet access
provider suitable for only a backup to your existing Internet access provider.
Many providers provide a better level of unlimited Internet access service for
under $10.00 a month
(which definately beats AOL and MSN).
Be aware of the following before you sign up with any Internet Access providers:
Make sure the dial-up number is a local call.
You do not want to be surprised when you open your telephone bill next month and
are hit with a huge long distance bill.
Your free Internet access provider could end up costing you a lot of money.
Be prepared for a large amount of ads.
Somebody has to pay for all those dialup telephone lines, support, licensing, etc.
It's going to be either you or an advertiser, and in the case of free Internet access,
it's an advertiser.

You may have to buy their long-distance phone service to get the access.
